Who are we?

UNISON is one of the UK’s largest trade unions, serving more than 1.3 million members. We represent full-time and part-time staff who provide public services, although they may be employed in both the public and private sectors.

Members of UNISON are organised into branches who represent local workplaces. The Aberdeen City Branch is for employees of Aberdeen City Council, Sport Aberdeen, Bon Accord Care, Grampian Housing Association, and other council partners. The Branch Committee meets monthly to organise the campaigns and activities of the union, raise workplace issues to discuss with management, and decide how best to support members in the branch.

Stewards (your local reps) are also invited to the Branch Committee. To find your local rep click here.

We currently have vacant officer positions for: Young Members, International, Union Learning and Recruitment & Organisation. If any of those positions sound interesting, get in touch and be part of the team!
