We had hoped that the new pay deal and backdated money would be paid in November’s salary. However COSLA are challenging certain aspects of the deal and this is delaying implementation.
This is not where we wanted to be on the run up to Christmas and 6 months on from the date we should’ve received the uplift.
There is a Local Government Committee meeting in the coming days and we would hope to be able to come back to you with more positive news.
If your SSSC registration is due our advice to members is to pay your registration fee and it will be backdated.
