Aberdeen Branch of UNISON are celebrating heroes working in Local Government this Thursday (17th October) by taking part in a national Local Service Champions Day. Our Local Service Champions Bus will be touring the city, visiting Aberdeen City Council work places to meet and talk members, to recognise that they are unsung heroes. We will also have stalls over lunch time in Marischal College, Town House and Len Ironside Centre. We believe it is important to let our members know in these uncertain times that they are valued for the vital job they do in providing public service to the people of Aberdeen, and to let them we are here to support them in the workplace and protect their jobs from future cuts and the impact of them.
Stalls at Marischal College, Town House and Len Ironside Centre will be from 12-2pm – come see us for some cake, UNISON goodies and a chat.
The UNISON bus will leave from Marischal College at 10.30am, and will be stopping to meet members at Spring Gardens, Kittybrewster, Williamson Family Centre, Rosewell House, Altens Recycling Centre and Balnagask Court before returning to the Town House at the end of the day.
See below the times of when we will be at your place of work, and please come out and speak to us and pick up a UNISON goodie bag!
